What this fixes

Tiny in the slicer

AI tools export in metres, so a figure arrives 1 mm tall. We scale it to the height you choose.

Lying on its back

GLB files are Y-up; slicers are Z-up. The model is rotated so it stands upright.

Holes and stray fragments

Repair closes open edges and removes loose triangles, so the slicer sees a solid.

Rounded bottom that won't stand

A thin slice is cut off the bottom and capped, giving a flat face that sticks to the bed.

Tips

Size: 60–100 mm suits most figures on an FDM printer. Fine details from AI models (fingers, hair strands) may be too thin below about 60 mm.

Colours: STL has no colour, so textures are dropped. For multi-colour printers, choose 3MF and paint in your slicer.

Supports: overhangs like outstretched arms still need supports; add them in your slicer.

Limits: repair closes holes but can't rebuild missing detail. Check the preview after converting.
